My Name is Aly. I have been in the fitness industry as a professional trainer and instructor since 2009, but have been a fitness enthusiast for most of my adult life. I found myself seriously ill and overweight soon after high school ended, all of which had come as a result of a childhood back injury. That injury put my gymnastics and softball dreams to rest at age 11, along with the rest of my physical activities.
Over the years, I adopted bad habits and didn't exercise much due to the pain, which had turned to a herniated disc and sciatica. By the time I was 22, I was over 215 lbs and after the birth of my daughter in 2002, I was sitting at 265 lbs. Soon after, on my 23rd birthday, I found myself under the knife for emergency surgery due to my unhealthy weight and habits. I had quit smoking upon finding out I was going to be a mom but my unhealthy diet and lifestyle did me no favors. The health scare and the thought of my daughter not having a mother alive or having a mother that couldn't walk with, play with and watch her grow, drove me to make the healthy changes I needed in my life. I did all I could to move more, eat better and educate myself on a healthier lifestyle. This soon became my passion, not just a personal goal.
In 2009, I became a certified personal trainer and since then, I have added more certifications and experience to my "arsenal". I love teaching classes, Spin, Turbo Kick (cardio kickboxing), BodyFlow(Yoga, pilates, Tai Chi) Pound (drumming based), Bootcamps and TRX suspension are just a few I teach. In addition to classes, I also have experience with MMA and Tai Chi and have competed in two NPC compeititons as well; 2010 Bikini Division and 2011 Figure Division.
This is a lifestyle change. There are no quick fixes or magic pills, it takes time, consistency and a want for change. This lifestyle change was something I didn't get much support in at the start, or along the way, from those who were close to me, the unhealthy version of me. This change wasn't going to be easy for me in any aspect, but it was very much worth it. This is one of the main reasons why I wanted to create "The Weigh Station", so no one feels alone and unsupported in their own journey.
Our site and Facebook page is a place of support, friendship, education and information for anyone, but it geared toward the trucking industry, without any judgement or criticism. The only requirement is YOUR drive to become a happier and healthier YOU. The time is now to take the wheel and make the rest of your life, the best of your life.

My name is Jesse. I am a certified Exercise Specialist through
Sinclair Community College and a dual major of Physical Therapy Assistant and
Exercise Science. Currently I am finishing my degree in Exercise Science
through Sinclair Community College and just beginning the Physical Therapy
Assistant program. I am also a certified personal trainer and with ISSA.
I was always into sports and being extremely
active when I was in my young kid years. I played soccer for 8 years, ran cross
country for 2 years and was in mixed martial arts off and on for 12 years. I
was a typical kid that loved being outdoors and active.
When I hit my teenage years I went through some troubling times at home and lost all interest in life itself. I was spiraling downward into a deep depression that involved all the junk food and sugary beverages that you could think of. One day after feeling sorry for myself I woke up and realized that I was meant for so much more and that I had a definitive purpose in this life.
I decided to clean up my diet and change my life for the better. I went out that day and went to the local grocery store to buy healthier food choices. I began to slowly come off of the deadly cocktail of sugar and fast food that had been a part of my life for so long. I also began to exercise and research on healthy eating and living as well.
Soon after beginning to exercise I joined the local gym and started going there every day. My depression was slowly lifting and the poor food choices and sedentary lifestyle were just a part of my past now. The changes in how I felt about myself and the way my body looked was amazing. I had never felt this good in my life. Through exercise and diet I had conquered addiction to sugary drinks, junk food and depression and was determined to never go back to that lifestyle ever again.
After a few years of fitness I had found my calling in life. This calling was to be able to help others who to see how good they can feel inside and out through health and wellness. I want to be able to change as many lives as I can while I am on this earth. I want to show the world that the fountain of youth is proper nutrition and exercise. The amount of happiness that comes from being physically fit is indescribable until you have gone through the transformation yourself. I am here to help drive a healthier and happier you!
